I started a pregnancy blog with Gage and now I have really gotten into blogging. So, I checked into it and we came up with this blog spot. We hope that you all enjoy it and will post comments for us to read and stay in touch with all our family. Love to All!

Directions on posting a comment

Hey All! I know that people have been checking the blog because they have told me so. I was just going to tell you how to post a comment in case you could not figure it out. First you have to go the entry you are reading, like Easter 2006, Second you have to get the bottom of the entry and click on comments and then a box comes up for you to fill out and post. We would love to hear from all of you!

But 4 years apart....

Well I know that my sons look alike. But this picture of Gage is almost scary! I cannot believe how much he looks like Gavin in this picture.
I could not find the exact picture of Gavin to match Gage. But putting these two together they look alike but different at the same time.

Soon there will be more posts than you will be able to read! I have a lot to update everyone on and they will be posted in the next day or so! Thanks.

Last Friday Sara and Gary came up to stay the night to go to Lake Ouachita on Saturday. Gary brought his boat so that him and Ray could go fishing. The Boys left out early and we slept in a little. We thought the swimming area would be packed but it wasn't and we got a great table to grill out. We had a great time swimming and eating. This was really Gage's 1st swim, the water was too cold the first time to actually get him in it. Gage loves the water. He is just like Gavin was with the water. We have had two boys that absolutely love the water. It was a great day at the lake! Thanks Sara and Gary for coming up!

I thought that I would give an update of everyone.

We all got over our illnesses after Christmas. Gage started us and it ran through all of us. Thank goodness I was out of school. So the second week of our break consisted of us all being sick.

Gage is running all over the place. He and his bubba run throughout the house playing and chasing each other. It is so cute and warming for them to be so close. He has 10 teeth now. He finally got another two. It had been a while since any new ones had came in.

Gavin is doing great. He loves school. He is progressing wonderfully and will have a great start for Kindergarten. He has made some friends and we have been attending birthdays. It sad to see my baby grow up. I was thinking wow if I stay teaching at Glen Rose this will be his class. These could be the friends that he graduates High School with. What great memories are to come!!

Ray and I doing good. School is good for me and work is good for him. We are enjoying the boys and the house.

We hope everyone is doing good. It seems we are busier than ever and sometimes miss out on seeing everyone. Love you all.

Just like Daddy?

Gage loves to climb up to the table and sit. It just happens that this day Gage climbed in front of the laptop. What was amazing is that he knew what to do with the mouse!! Gavin had to get in on the pictures. He does not want to get left out!!

I am attemping to catch up on two whole months. Bare with me!

We purchased a new vechile. We were needing something with a little more room in it. We found a 2000 Chevy Tahoe Limited from an individual for $7500. It was a great deal! They had taken GREAT care of it. It has leather and is just really nice! Gavin loves it. He loves mommy's new big, black ride that can take him to the beach! We are really excited to have it. Also just today we sold the Camry so that worked out great! We are going to put in new floors in the bedrooms and replace the doors and base boards. Oh and update the boys bedrooms. They share a room now and have a playroom. It is really nice this way. I will post pics once everything is settled.

Life out of the halls...

Ray has been working so hard on the house! The new project is scrapping the old popcorn look off the ceiling and putting up an orange peel texture. We started the boys room. It turned out great and was not that hard to do. (I do not personally know, only Ray.) We changed the toy room with the computer room. As of now Ray has scrapped three ceilings, painted them again, painted the walls, and laid one room of laminate flooring. They look so good. We are going to get our room done before Christmas! Yeah! Now I thinking of decorating ideas. I need to go back and do that while Ray is working on the other. I will post pics soon!

Well we are almost ready to showcase some pics of the rooms that Ray has been hard at work on. I cannot wait. Everything has turned out so good!! He has done a wonderful job!

Here are the boys' updated pics. Gavin's is his first kindergarten picture. Gage is beside the 2 for turning 2. We also had Gage's pic taken with all his Spongebob stuff. It turned out really cute. I love the pic of the boys in their Christmas sweaters.

We were looking back through some old pics and ran across when we first moved into this house. There was so much that needed to be done to update this house. We worked hard and can see some improvements, but there is still a long way to go! We are working on the kitchen right now which is why the doors are off the pic of the cabinets. We are painting the cabinets white and then laying new tile for the countertops. Ray worked hard on the yard. We did not get everything planted this spring in the beds that we wanted but it is a major improvement. Ray built the rail on the porch. I decorated with the plants and such. I know! Maybe my thumb is not so black. I love the front porch. I would love to have a bench out there. The living room is the new staging we are trying. I really like it! We pulled the couches off the walls and man did that make a difference! I am working on a new pic for above the fire place and also a series of paintings to go on each side of the fire place. The one of the wood on the wall beside the fire place is what was in the entire living room. Look at the new pic to see it without it. Some of the pics are the old compared to the new and updated! Can't wait to have people over for a look see and party!

Okay.... so I know what I have been missing all these years. I think it was 2005 when my camera broke. I was forced to use my little ditigal camera until now. It was an okay camera; I made the best of it. For those of you who do not know me... I used to be a photographer and when my big camera broke something died in me. (Honestly, I wasn't even aware until now.) Well it is alive today. I bought a Canon XLT ditigal. Anyone needing to buy a camera I highly recommend it. It is not very expensive, and it takes GREAT, CLEAR pictures!!! I am going to post a few of me playing around. BTW my yearbook staff loves it too! ;) (No, I do not let them all take pics with it, just two responsible ones...) I may even start taking pictures again!

I have a lot of catching up to do. All the Disney posts put me back a little bit! We have taken a trip to the Diamond Mine and Diamond Springs with Sara and Teralee, a trip to the zoo with Sara, Gary, and Teralee, a trip to the lake with Wyatt, Weston, Crissy, and Terry, the 4th at the lake with family and the Hortons, and had my brother's wedding. I hope to do one a day for the next week! Ha! Check back!
